  • In August 2013, The Institute of Psychological Research and Application (IPRA) at Bowling Green State University confirmed the validity and reliability of the PMC instruments. The IPRA results showed highly reliable and correlated relationships between the PMC factors and key organizational performance indicators such as climate, employee engagement & development, management competencies, promotion, and turnover.  It also clearly demonstrated the critical importance of including bottom-up information from direct reports in succession planning exercises,  “… our results clearly indicated that direct reports  were better predictors of important work outcomes than either self-reports or scores provided by senior managers. In other words, direct reports of coaching effectiveness may be more useful for identifying successful managers … consequently, these findings may be particularly important when considering the use of IA scores for making promotion decisions or for succession planning.” .
